THE CANADIAN BUY LIST and.. THE U.S. BUY LIST...
Selection process , and , How my periodic Buy Lists are set-up
The Canadian Buy List is a selection of Canadian stocks of good quality that I believe are suitable for
purchase at the time.
Prices in the 'Good Buy Level' column are an estimate (by way of my own chart analysis) of the level to
which the stock may fall during temporary weakness and thus present an advantageous purchase opportunity.
The 'Target Estimate' is what I believe to be a reasonable expectation given the current fundamental outlook
for the company by professional analysts and my own appraisal of its price structure.
The United States Buy List is a selection of well known US equities which have been recently recommended in various published sources I am acquainted with. Once I am aware of the recommendation, I then subject it to the following separate appraisals.
The first is simply whether the stock 'looks attractive' by my own viewing of its price chart. If it seems
promising then the separate fundamental appraisals of US analysts as well as corporate updates are
considered. If these are favourable, then it is given a more intensive analysis from a 'technical' (price action)
perspective employing various analytical programs to aid in a proficient assessment of individual stock price
behaviour.
The results of this precess are given in a 'score' which shows under 'Rating Blend' on the US Buy List.
The US 'Target Estimates' are determined by myself through traditional chart measurement techniques and
include reference to a consensus of analysts and quantative method targets available on professionally
designed Internet sites. My targets are those I believe achievable within the context of a favourable market
environment and reasonable buying interest in the stock over the short term (1 to 6 months).
In all cases, the choices I've made for inclusion on these buy lists are made on the basis of research and
analytical techniques I believe to be reliable but neither myself nor my employer, Beacon Securities Limited, can guarantee their accuracy nor the attainment of Target Estimates given. Research is available to you to assist in your selection within the context of our further consultation.
